Hello everyone. We recently meet with a retied Air Force pilot, a Vietnam war veteran, and later a pilot for American Airlines. A very fit 85 years old man who still volunteers delivering "meals on wheels", and walks the Redlands Marathons. He's owned this beautiful Porsche 356 since new. WOW! yes, true. He shared many stories including when he uses to take trips with his wife and son, still a baby riding in the front seat with his mom. Times were different then indeed. He says "I should wash it", and I replied no, it is more desirable like this, with the dust. It is authentic, and tell a story. After so many years, the Porsche has become part of the family. In fact, parked in the same spot for over 10 years ( at least). He tell me It has a 1600cc engine with two carburetors. "I am saving this beauty for his son". He has it all planned out. "One day in the distant future, my son will get this Porsche, I already gifted my old Mercedes to my other son".
